'Nude Way': Is It the Only Ethical Way To Protest For The Animal Rights?

I came across news and pictures of PETA [People for the ethical Treatment of Animals] activists protesting in “Nude” in support of the right of the “Animals”.

I don’t know and can’t exactly assess how much deeper attention they are drawing by withdrawing the dress code. Last year one of my article “Are Animals Right” appeared and I received many comments in protest from PETA activists.

I sincerely support their cause and concern and applaud their efforts for the Animals right but is it the only “Ethical” way to register the protest. On Thursday PETA activists protested naked in front of Eiffel Tower to draw the attention towards the suffering of the Bulls during “Bulls Run” and Bulls Fight.

hey Vijay,
well.. I too applaud their efforts, I myself just love animals.... BUT... do they really have to get naked to support animals? NO, definitely NOT. cz how I see it, they would be supporting animals, and degrading their humanity at the same time; something that I see as unacceptable as well...

Yeah Wa’d,No one living in a ”civilised” society would endorse such form of protest. It’s completely a wrong way to protest for the right cause.

It's unethical way of protest in favour of ethical treatment of animals.

Have these protesters ever shown so much of concern for human issues? I don't think they utter even a single word for human rights.

Ayman, most of the human beings are living even below subhuman conditions and only few bothers about them and there rights.Yes,we also endorse and support the cause and betterment of all living beings but all human beings must get at least basic amenities first.
The way they are protesting should be condemn because the whole World is watching and we are living in a ”Global Village” and the visual impact is not good and it’s conveying a wrong message.

Well I guess the publicity worked and they got the attention they wanted, otherwise no one would have noticed if they had just walked around with plackards.
I too am an animal lover and believe people should understand that they are an integral part of all life’s existance and deserve to live respectfully too.
People have a voice to complain about human suffering - animals do not.

Agree Lynn but they are attracting the attention of general public towards their own body more than the real issue and mind me this way they are inviting and inspiring for animal instinct of viewers and this indecent exposure may not bring the impact on the so called animal right issue.

An unethical way to protest. Does PETA wants only to make news? i don’t think so they are trying any publicity stuff.

Ameya, then why most of their protest conducted this way only and they always used some famous places for protesting.
Why they never choose the right place or targeted at the very point of exploitation of animals.

I think if they went to the place of exploitation to air their views (excuse the pun) there would be a confrontation with the animal abusers.
It doesn’t look very sexy with all that blood like stuff over them and their sad faces.
The publicity worked - good or bad, we are all talking about it and the importance of animal welfare too.

Lynne,Isn’t it instigating animal instinct of a common man towards abrupt sex desire instead of drawing attention towards welfare of animals.

the protest was about animals so I don’t know if the common man’s animal instincts were aroused, all I can say is - seeing those naked bloody bodies doesn’t do anything for me, but I’m not a man, so I prefer to read the plackards.
May be after seeing them - the men hurried home to their wives and donated to the cause.

Lynne,
Interesting analysis but where their husband will....not necessarily to their home and yes they are drawing attention but this is not the way for asking donation.
Ya it may happen that the spectators may join them.

To me the message I saw is - that it was just the naked truth about the slaughter of animals and personally I think there are a lot more sexy things going on that would arouse men more than these few people who stripped for a cause.
There didn’t seem to be any trouble during or after the protest.
I just wonder how many people complained. It wouldn’t bother me, but that’s just my view.
