Much is not known about the early years of Jesus. Since india was the spiritual fountain at those times, it is quite possible that jesus might have lived here for some time.

I have often wondered at the lost gospels and the dead sea scrolls and what they mean to the Church as an institution.

I have often wondered about the life of Jesus every other time than that mentioned in the Bible, and of everyone surrounding him too.

This is a very interesting theory and although not backed up with much SOLID proof, should be further explored.

I recommend you read ”The Christ Conspiracy : The greatest story ever told” In it, Acharya S, the author, interestingly points back to several characters/prophets the world has known and their striking resemblance to Jesus, his life, miracles, and teachings.

Excellent research.
The more the better! Every religion should be researched thoroughly from the very beginnings with open minds - looking for the facts so as to understand how they came about and understand the moods, superstitions and thinking of the people at that time.

Personally I think that maybe they were very skilful oraters and perhaps even deluded themselves about prophetic powers, which made them all the more convincing to the masses.

(Nothing new like some T.V. evengelists who captivate and stimulate their audiances with their on stage theatric’s and messages of hope)

Yes Lynne,you are right.
Even its been said that Gautam Buddha initially followed the path of Mahavira or Jainism.
Both Mahavir and Buddha spent many years in the same area,I’ve written about that also.
